Håndverksgruppen continues to grow and incorporates Murmester Gulliksen into the family.
- Murmester Gulliksen represents the best in masonry, with generations of experience and a strong local presence in Telemark and Vestfold. We are delighted to have them join Håndverksgruppen and look forward to working with them, says Gjermund Söder Vegge, Country Manager for Håndverksgruppen Norway.
Family business with long traditions
Murmester Gulliksen was established at the end of the 1960s and has been family-owned since 1991, when the current CEO's father took over the business. In 1998, the company was taken over by Jan Thomas Sortedal and Roger Dahle, both of whom are still on the ownership side, with Sortedal in the role of general manager.
Mesterbedriften has enjoyed stable growth over the years and last year had a turnover of NOK 33 million
CEO Jan Thomas Sortedal sees joining Håndverksgruppen as a natural and strategically important step in the company's further development.
- The industry is changing and the competition is getting tougher. It feels right to be part of something bigger, with a professional system behind us. Through Håndverksgruppen, we get better opportunities for further growth, while ensuring a secure and predictable future for our employees, says Sortedal.
Murmester Gulliksen currently has 10 employees and carries out all types of masonry and tiling work for private individuals, businesses and public sector organisations, including major projects for housing associations and Telemark County Council. The company also has extensive experience in the rehabilitation of antiquarian buildings.
Sortedal emphasises that the Håndverksgruppen not only provides access to resources, but also an opportunity to further professionalise operations.
- We'll gain access to skills development, strengthen our internal systems and continue to focus on what we do best - good craftsmanship. We also see opportunities to take part in new framework agreements and a strengthened professional community with other solid companies in the group, he points out.
