Håndverksgruppen takes further market shares in Denmark and welcomes DR Gulve, Owi Gulve, RM Coating and R2 Farver. With this, the group's Danish portfolio consists of 27 companies with a combined turnover of more than DKK 700 million.
- 2024 has been a year characterised by record growth and solid new partnerships. When we established ourselves in Denmark in 2022, it was with clear ambitions to become a leader in surface services, and we have succeeded. Our strength lies in the local companies and their unique expertise, but also in the synergies and community we create together, says Frederik Stage Olsen, Country Manager for Håndverksgruppen in Denmark.
- DR Gulve and R2 Farver strengthen us both professionally and geographically. With DR Gulve and its two subsidiaries Owi Gulve and RM Coating, we are gaining an important specialist in flooring that brings with it both a willingness to grow and broad professional expertise. At the same time, R2 Farver adds valuable expertise in painting. It's a pleasure to welcome them both to us, he adds.
DR Gulve, Owi Gulve and RM Coating
DR Gulve was established in 2000 by Michael Dons Andersen, who together with Rune Mangelsen manages the company and its two subsidiaries, Owi Gulve and RM Coating, established in 2011 and 2008 respectively.
- We've been operating on our own for almost 25 years and have recently been reflecting on how we can best secure the future of our businesses. Håndverksgruppen aligns well with our vision and values, and we have great respect for the culture they represent. The way they look after and develop both employees and apprentices has been a decisive factor in our choice, says Michael Dons Andersen, General Manager of DR Gulve.
DR Gulve has a strong presence in Jutland and Funen and supplies all types of floor coverings, such as wooden floors, vinyl, carpets and linoleum. Owi Gulve and RM Coating complement the business with specialised expertise in subfloors and seamless floors. The customer base includes main contractors, municipal institutions through framework agreements and large private organisations.
- We're looking forward to becoming part of a larger community, making new acquaintances and creating good synergies. At the same time, it has been important for us to be able to continue operations locally and build on our good development and growth, says Rune Mangelsen, General Manager of RM Coating.
R2 Farver
R2 Farver was established in 1986 by John Rasmussen and is currently run by his son, Thue Bo Rasmussen. With 60 employees, the company provides a wide range of painting services, as well as floor sanding and treatment of wooden floors with its own flooring department.
R2 Farver also operates two colour shops in Viborg and Bjerringbro, which have been an important part of R2 Farver's growth journey. The stores serve both private and professional customers, and the company has recently experienced great growth in its online store with an increase of 70% over the past year.
The company's total turnover is currently DKK 45 million.
- We've built up a solid business, but going it alone has its challenges, especially when it comes to large projects that require more resources. Håndverksgruppen will give us access to a strong network, expertise and support. With Håndverksgruppen behind us, we can now meet market demand in a completely new way, says Thue Bo Rasmussen, General Manager of R2 Farver.
Rasmussen also looks forward to the opportunities employees will have as a result of the collaboration with Håndverksgruppen.
- We place great emphasis on utilising our employees' expertise in the right way, so that they can work on tasks they both enjoy and master. This produces both better results and more committed employees, and we look forward to strengthening this further through our collaboration with Håndverksgruppen.
DR Gulve and R2 Farver will continue to operate under their current brand names and existing management, with their commitment and closeness to employees and customers.
