Håndverksgruppen takes further market share in Norway and incorporates Lars Holmaas Malerforretning, Bergen's oldest painting company.

Safeguarding the family heritage
Lars Holmaas Malerforretning is a family-run company with roots dating back to 1913. For many years, the traditional company has served private customers and carried out work at shipyards. Today, they specialise in renovation and refurbishment (ROT), and have several framework agreements with major customers in the public and private sectors. Lars Holmaas Malerforretning has 15 employees and had a turnover of around NOK 26 million in 2023.
General Manager Ove Johan Holmaas is looking forward to the partnership with Håndverksgruppen.
- All our partners are already part of Håndverksgruppen and when you work with the best, it's natural to become part of them yourself.
- We're now around 150 painters affiliated with Håndverksgruppen in Bergen and the surrounding area. This means we can take on larger assignments, support each other, borrow people and operate as a powerful unit. With the Group's staffing pool, we can also avoid using staffing agencies, which is a huge strength for us, he explains.
Holmaas also emphasises the importance of securing the company's future and praises the collaboration with Håndverksgruppen.
- Since none of my children are interested in taking over the business, we see this as the best way to secure the company's future. It gives us peace of mind that the company name will continue to exist, no matter who leads it, he says.
